Acelera Partners was created to foster the startup ecosystem development in Brazil by addressing a typical “investment gap” found in several startup ecosystems across the globe. Business accelerators provide seed investment of USD 25k on average to high-potential early-stage startups. However, while startup founders have more seed-stage financing options than ever before, venture capital firms have been choosing to write bigger checks much later in a company’s lifecycle – thus creating a post-seed gap that can be especially challenging for early-stage startups (this issue was discussed at the Post Seed Conference in San Francisco in December 2014).
Acelera Partners approaches this phenomenon through a “shared value” model. By establishing a chain with the best business accelerators and VCs, the strengths of remarkable global leaders from both private an public sectors and a Micro-VC Fund, we offer entrepreneurs a unique value proposition to help them scale their businesses globally as we also strengthen national competitiveness through local cluster development.
Today, the Acelera Partners group already encompasses Aceleratech – ranked by Brazil Founders (now Latam Founders Network) as the top accelerator in Brazil and recipient of the Spark Awards 2014 as the best accelerator in Brazil; a post-acceleration program; and a Micro-VC Fund (Brasil Aceleradora de Start-ups FIP). Join our movement to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and investors and help us to place Brazil among the world’s top 10 startup ecosystems.
